CASE expeditions take place in some of the most beautiful places in Costa Rica: vibrant rainforests, active volcanoes, and pristine beaches! Our expeditions are intensive 9-day programs designed for high school and college students. The expeditions combine service work with local community organizations in rural Costa Rica and adventure travel. All expeditions enjoy 24/7 guidance from highly experienced expedition leaders. Our programs are structured to challenge and stimulate young people as they explore a new culture, practice a new language, and learn about themselves.

CASE offers the following expeditions:

Central Pacific Rainforest Adventure
Dates: March-August, starting the first Saturday of every month.

Volcanoes and More Volcanoes!
Dates: March-August, starting the third Saturday of every month.

Deep Organic/Quetzal Adventure
Dates: March-August starting the fifth (or fourth) Saturday of every month.

Cost
The fee for a Central American Service Expedition is $1295. The fee includes all food, lodging, transportation, materials, equipment, 24/7 guidance, recreational activities, and a donation to the communities we visit. The fee does not include international airfare, health insurance, airport taxes, or personal expenses.

For groups or families of 5 or more a custom expedition can be designed for any time of the year. Also, any teacher or parent accompanying a group of 6 or more students or family members pays nothing for the expedition and flies for free!
